Update: PDP Leadership Dispute
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reportedly recognized the faction aligned with Nyesom Wike as the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), acknowledging Abdulrahman Mohammed as Chairman and Sam Anyanwu as National Secretary.
Meanwhile, the PDP faction associated with Senator Natasha argues that Sam Anyanwu’s suspension lasted only one month and that he has already served the suspension.
According to them, this means Anyanwu remains the legitimate National Secretary, which they say validates the Abuja convention.
The development adds another layer to the ongoing leadership struggle within the PDP as different factions continue to assert legitimacy.
